VMX Racing – Terms, Safety & Product Information

General

VMX Racing supplies aftermarket motorcycle and e-bike parts and accessories.
Some products, particularly electrical components, require correct installation and safe use to operate as intended.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

These guarantees do not apply where issues arise from misuse, incorrect installation, modification, impact damage, water exposure, or use outside recommended conditions.

VMX Racing sells a range of products.
Different products carry different risks and installation requirements.

Please ensure you read the information relevant to the specific product you are purchasing.

Throttle Products – Important Safety & Use Information

This section applies only to e-bike and electric throttle products sold by VMX Racing.

Aftermarket component

VMX Racing throttles are aftermarket electrical components.
They are not supplied by original equipment manufacturers and may not be compatible with all bikes or controllers.

It is the customer’s responsibility to confirm compatibility prior to installation.

Installation

Incorrect installation may result in malfunction, unintended acceleration, or damage.

Throttle products should be installed by a qualified e-bike technician or bicycle mechanic.

VMX Racing is not responsible for issues arising from incorrect installation, wiring errors, or incompatible components.

Use and operation

Throttle products are intended for riding use only.

Before installation, adjustment, cleaning, or maintenance:

  • The bike must be switched off

  • The bike must not be left powered on or unattended

  • The throttle must not be operated or tested while washing the bike

Water exposure

Throttle products are not waterproof.

Exposure to water, including washing a powered bike or using hoses or pressure washers near electrical components, may cause malfunction.

Issues caused by water exposure are not considered a manufacturing defect.

Children

Throttle products are not toys and are not designed for use by children.

Children must not operate or handle powered e-bikes without adult supervision.

Faults and inspection

If you believe a throttle may be faulty:

  1. Stop using the product immediately

  2. Contact VMX Racing for guidance

  3. The throttle must be returned for inspection

Claims for damage, repairs, or compensation cannot be assessed unless the throttle is returned and inspected.

Limitation of responsibility

VMX Racing is not responsible for damage caused by:

  • Incorrect installation or wiring

  • Incompatible bikes or controllers

  • Impact or drop damage

  • Water exposure

  • Use outside recommended conditions

This does not limit your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
